I love the inventive way you're depicting the speed in this one. Never seen it this way before but I think it works.

I can understand how, if you didn't know the character and were just looking at a single illustration you might be confused. But anyone who knows the character should understand what's happening. Your drawing is definitely more dynamic than if you used traditional speed lines.
